Optimization Committee Member Update
Although there are additional items, the following is where the most activity has taken place since we last met in August:
Closed Items:
- Guest Room Rental - As you saw in the September HOA Board Meeting Minutes we got push back from Owners who are against having non-Owner sponsored guests.
- Building as a Billboard - SA city ordinance does not allow building to act as billboards.
Further Discussion Needed:
- Web site advertising - We have some Owner pushback against marketing OT in general. Also, an additional issue of deciding if a particular company is acceptable to the Owners.
- Solar Panels - On hold for now. Because we are a Condo, the federal tax incentives are complicated thus not making us a good candidate. As time goes on and as the price for panels decreases, there might be an opportunity for the HOA to move forward.
Open and Ongoing:
- Build Additional Storage - The board is working with a builder and de-conflicting a space issue. If this happens, it will be sometime next year.
- Landscape Master Plan - We have a bid for Board review from a landscape Architect to provide a landscape master plan for our property. Included in the plan will be:
- - eliminating grass (except dog run) and thus eliminate monthly lawn maintenance cost by converting to xeriscaping.
- - rain catchment
- - adding a herb garden
- - possible adding additional covered gathering spaces at the opposite ends of the pool.
