Mission Statement: The Common Space Committee provides input and recommendations to the Olmos Tower (OT) Board regarding additions, upgrades, and renovations to the OT common space.
Agenda Purpose of meeting: 1. Briefly review projects accomplished 2. Get update on financial status of funds available for projects 3. Based on available funding, prioritize future projects 4. Suggest additional projects (new amenities, renovations, etc.)
Review list of some past projects accomplished: Amenities Added Dog Run On site storage Lobby/Conf Room/Social Area Pool Cabana/BBQ gas Auto doors to parking garages Infrastructure Upgrades Completed Building Security system & IT upgrade Resurface parking lot Cooling tower and chiller replaced Building exterior paint
Owners approved (July 2020) a $575,000 loan (paid back over 10 years) for: Completed: Roofs (Parking garage, main building) Pool (new 15-year surface, replaced all plumbing/electrical, new decking) Still to do: Common Area Sprinklers/electrical panel ($100,000) - INFRASTRUCTURE Guest room renovations ($50,000) Fitness center refresh ($10,000) Hallway refresh ($100,000)
Committee Input. Input needed to prioritize the three non-infrastructure “Still to do” projects based on funding available. Funding availability will be affected by any costs associated with any potential building structural integrity engineering studies.
Compile list of other common space projects/amenities for the future projects list such as: - Renovate pool bathrooms - Create comprehensive landscape plan (ADA considerations, new amenities)
