The pool and cabana are open! There are a couple of punch list items being addressed but those items do not affect the usage of the pool or the cabana.
The board chose Waterworks for this project. Waterworks offered the best warranty (15 years) and they have expertise for all three surface areas. Our pool was constructed very well and to code in the mid-1960s. Now it is being brought into current code in all areas to include electrical, gas, and safety features such as tile accents and railings.
As noted in the November 12, 2020 HOA Board Meeting minutes, the initial focus was only on the surface area of the pool and not the coping or deck. However, after further discussion it became obvious and prudent for safety, aesthetics, and future cost avoidance to fix the coping and deck at the same time as the pool surface. During deck excavation it was discovered that much of the electrical, gas, and water/pump piping was approaching a point in time that they would need extensive and intrusive maintenance; Thus, as shown in some of the images below, this issue was addressed now to avoid future additional costs.
