The board chose Waterworks for this project. Waterworks offered the best warranty (15 years) and they have expertise for all three surface areas. Our pool was constructed very well and to 1960s code. Now it is up to current code in all areas to include electrical, gas, and safety features such as tile accents and railings.
As noted in the November 12, 2020 HOA Board Meeting minutes, the initial focus was only on the surface area of the pool and not the coping or deck. However, after further discussion it became obvious and prudent for safety, aesthetics, and future cost avoidance to fix the coping and deck at the same time as the pool surface. During deck excavation it was discovered that much of the electrical, gas, and water/pump piping was approaching a point in time that they would need extensive and intrusive maintenance; Thus, as shown in some of the images below, these issues were addressed to avoid future additional costs.
